OPAL/Miner - Features

Introduction

OPAL/Miner was written to provide a simple and efficient means to easily access and download SAP data directly to your PC or server in a number of file formats. It is based on a SAP standard RFC call which utilises the built-in security of the SAP system. This software does not provide back door entry to SAP data, does not contain functionality to update any data on the SAP system, and does not generate any ABAP code.

You can quickly and easily download data from any SAP table (R/3 or BW) relating to any SAP module. For example, Basis consultants can download and analyse transport information from tables E070, E071, and E07T. ABAP consultants can immediately access data in the TADIR and TRDIR tables. SD consultants can download data from tables KNA1 and VBAP. FI consultants can download data from table BSEG or the multitude of CO-PA tables. If so inclined, BW consultants can even download fact tables or any other associated BW tables including the underlying tables for ODS and InfoCube objects. ANY SAP R/3 OR BW TABLE CAN BE DOWNLOADED! There is no limit other than your own authorisation level within SAP.

The scheduled batch download feature will allow the download of any number of tables overnight and have them ready for use by your user community the next morning. This feature is the ideal solution for establishing a data warehouse and keeping it updated.

The bottom line is that time is money.Do not waste valuable external consultant, contractor, or in-house programmer time by not having the right tool to access and analyse your SAP data. OPAL/Miner will provide a return on your investment within hours.
